This is the most extensive package offered. It is designed for the horse that has complicated nutritional needs and requires consistent diet revisions. For example, a horse who is recovering from colic surgery, experiencing acute laminitis, diagnosed with severe allergies, etc.

I have had the privilege of working with Madeline on two occasions. I have two very different horses who have very different needs. I worked with Madeline last year on a yearling that would not keep weight on and lacked a lot of muscle tone. This yearling has now built muscle and is keeping weight on even through winter. This year I worked with Madeline again with a senior horse who was diagnosed with heart disease and had a few other health complications. Madeline adjusted the diet and also recommended different herbal supplements to support heart health and overall comfort for a senior horse. Both horses are thriving and I couldn’t be happier!

Madeline's knowledge with horses in a metabolic crisis literally saved my horse and helped us on the road to recovery. In the fall I contacted Balanced Bay for my 23 year old Quarter horse in order to support his hoof health and maintain his weight over the winter. Madeline came out to the farm, took full measurements of him and then analyzed our current feeding practices. She worked with me in order to find a food that would balance his diet, something that I could easily access at my regular feed store, and something that he would eat. It is now spring and I am happy to report that he hasn't lost any weight this winter and his hoof health is improving.

This service is for asking any and all of you equine nutrition questions. Madeline will meet with you via video chat or phone call for 1 hour. Please bring all of your equine nutrition questions!

During this hour we will discuss the questions and formulate brief recommendations. After the call you will get a document summarizing the discussion and recommendations.

My favourite aspect of Balanced Bay is that Madeline was able to work with the products we already fed, and did not push other brands/products. She was very easy to talk to and ask questions, during the consultation I felt that nothing was overcomplicated and I could easily follow what was being discussed. You can really see the love of horses in Madeline. She wasn't there for business, but really to help the animal.
